Where to find the serial number
Furnaces and air handlers: the rating plate is inside the blower compartment door.
Outdoor units: the plate is on the side of the cabinet near the electrical panel.

- What does 0606111539 mean?
- 06 is 2006 and 06 is June, so the unit was made in June 2006.
- Does this work for Daikin mini-splits?
- No. Daikin ductless systems don't encode the date in the serial; use the MFG. DATE printed on the plate.
